Service Description
Slow down, breathe, and explore watercolor as both an art practice and a form of self-care. Watercolor for Wellbeing is a wellness-oriented art education course that combines foundational watercolor skills with a gentle, reflective studio environment. In this class, students will learn essential watercolor techniques, including brush handling, color mixing, layering, washes, and working with water control. We’ll explore how pigment, water, timing, and movement interact, building confidence with the medium while allowing space for experimentation and curiosity. Alongside technical instruction, the class is intentionally paced to support presence and care. Watercolor’s fluid and responsive nature invites students to release perfectionism, slow their process, and attend to sensation and breath as they paint. Many people experience this combination of skill-building and mindful making as grounding or therapeutic, even as they focus on learning and practice. This is a skill-based art class offered as a therapeutic third space. The focus remains on learning watercolor techniques within a supportive, non-judgmental studio setting. No prior watercolor experience is required. This course is well-suited for beginners, returning artists, and anyone seeking to learn watercolor in a calm, intentional environment. All supplies are included. Please wear clothing you’re comfortable painting in. All payments are final. Refunds are not offered for booked classes.
