Studio FAQ
Refund Policy
We unfortunately do not provide refunds unless a course or workshop is cancelled or rescheduled by the studio. For goods such as artwork sold, all payments are final unless item received is broken. Any excess balance amount on gift cards will not be refunded. If you have to reschedule a one-off workshop, all reschedules can take place 48hours before the start of the workshop. If the reschedule is not requested 48 hours in advance, you will have to pay for the workshop, and it will not be refunded or rescheduled.
Make up classes
Every Saturday there is open studio time from 1:30-4pm. Open studio operates as both independent time and make up time for any classes missed. Students should not expect a makeup session for missed classes outside of the additional open studio time. Students are responsible for making it to each class they signed up for.
What clay and glaze do you use?Â
All materials at the studio are high fire clays and glazes. At this time, there are 3 different clay bodies that can be used: low grog white clay, medium grog speckled clay, and low grog dark brown clay. The studio uses predominantly Mayco and Potters Choice glazes.
Can I bring in my own clay and glaze?
Foreign clays are not allowed to be used in the studio. If you have specific glaze that you own and want to bring in, please email info@muzearts.com to get approval first before bringing it in to use.
What is included in the classes?
All supplies and kiln firings are included in the cost of the class. Additional wheel throwing time on Saturdays are included.
What is open studio time, and when is it?Â
Open studio is time when the studio is open outside of classes for students enrolled in a course. This is only for students, and friends are not allowed to use the studio during the allotted open studio time. Open studio takes place on Saturdays between 1:30-4pm during the duration of each course. Once the course ends, students will not have access to extra studio time until they sign up for a studio membership or another course. Please make sure to clean up by 4pm as the studio often has classes beginning shortly after.
