Independent Study Monthly Membership
This membership is designed for individuals with prior pottery experience who are seeking independent access to the studio, rather than guided instruction. This membership is intended for individual use and does not apply to private group events, family workshops, or organizational programming.

Create Pieces in Your Own Time
The open studio membership is independent time to use the studio wheels and work on pottery pieces. This is not an instructor led time and members should expect to independently work on their pieces. Members should feel comfortable working independently on the wheel and have prior wheel experience. If you are brand new to the pottery wheel, check out our beginner classes and workshops!

Respect the Communal Space
Please respect the community studio space and clean up after you are done. This membership relies on shared responsibility and mutual respect to maintain a calm, functional studio environment.
Members may use the studio at any time unless the space is reserved for a scheduled class, workshop, or private event. Members will be given access to the studio calendar to see which times are reserved for scheduled programming and are encouraged to check the calendar before arriving. Members are expected to fully clean up and vacate the space before any scheduled session begins.

Dedicated Personal Shelf
The open studio membership is limited to available shelf space. Members are given set shelf space to store their and pieces. Members will have access to the studio clay and glaze included in the cost. Each month, members are allowed to fire whatever fits on their shelf cubby. Rather than giving a specific amount of throwing clay, members receive access to communal clays, but can only fire what fits on their shelf each month.

Firing Schedule and Clay Bodies
The studio bisque fires to cone 04 and glaze fires to cone 6. Firings occur monthly. Firing schedules are determined by studio capacity.
If you are interested in working with your own glaze, please confirm with our operations manager (jon@selahstudiogr.com) before introducing new glaze at the studio. New clay bodies are not allowed.
