Service Description

Clay & Calm: Pottery for Slowing Down is a beginner-friendly pottery wheel class focused on learning wheel throwing at a steady, unhurried pace. This class combines simple pottery techniques with the mindful process of working at the wheel, inviting students to slow down, breathe, and engage fully with the material. While this is a skill-based pottery class, many students find the physical rhythm of wheel throwing to be grounding and naturally therapeutic. No prior clay experience is needed—you’ll be guided step by step as you create your own pottery pieces. This class is well-suited for both everyday hobbyists and more serious artists looking to build a strong foundation. We will explore the fundamentals of the pottery wheel and beyond. Classes meet weekly on Thursdays from 6:00–8:00 PM. Students may make as much as they like during class and select their five favorite pieces to keep. All supplies are included; please bring a personal apron and hand towel. Students also have access to open studio time on Saturdays from 1:30–4:00 PM, where they may work independently on their pieces. All payments are final. Refunds are not offered for booked classes unless there is an error on our end.
